North Carolina Peace Action member Rachael Roberts Bliss was honored as 2024 Peacemaker of 2024 at Western North Carolina’ celebration of its 15th Annual International Day of Peace, held at Asheville’s Land of the Sky UCC September 21.
The event was endorsed by nearly 20 organizations. City Council member Kim Roney read the city’s Peace Day Proclamation at the event. Donations were sent to local organizations working in solidarity with Palestinians.
