Peaceful Means Workshops

Peaceful Means Workshops use a lively, participatory, and emergent pedagogy to develop skills in peaceful communication, community understanding, and nonviolent social change.

Through exercises, small group discussions, film segments, short presentations, and other methods, we come to understand how the principles of nonviolence can change our lives and our world. We also explore practices that foster reflection and action.

Participants explore what it means to build a “Culture of Peace” learning practical ways to integrate peaceful means in to daily life and the broader world.

“It was a history-making event on Monday.  Several of those students will have strategic influence at identifiable dates and almost all will be repeatedly saying things that they would not otherwise have even thought of because of the event, and especially because of your exercises. I know I will do the latter.”

“What a terrific workshop you both gave the high school class last First Day!  I could tell that it was especially relevant to the teens in the class on a personal, developmental level as well as on the level of fostering peaceful, centered selves and peaceful actions.  Thank you for your inspired work!”
