Update From Rachael

Our tentative plans are now to meet with the AFL-CIO Local Council to get their buy-in as well as other interest groups that have been affected by cut backs in federal funding that have instead been gobbled up by military spending, which is now at 58 cents of every dollar either on past wars, current wars or preparing for future wars.

We will be speaking at the next council meeting in the public comments part.  Please come and speak with us on Tuesday Jan. 24th, probably around 6:30 PM or so.  (Meeting starts at 5 PM.)

In best case scenario, we will officially present it to council at the Valentine’s Day meeting Feb. 14thThat’s when we really need a HUGE turnout!

We also need more signatures on our petition about the resolution in the meantime.

Please contact Rachael if you’d like to attend the meetings above or sign the petition!
